Maya was the beginning of everything that Simply A-Vay is today.
Much of what I’ve learned about nutrition, everyday life, and living together grew out of my time with her.
This page is not a complete retrospective.
It simply shows a few moments that describe her well.
She had a way of looking at me that made everything else fall quiet.
That look was never random. She always knew exactly what she wanted.
When something didn’t suit her, you could tell immediately.
I’m still convinced she understood more than she let on.
Wherever I was, she was there too.
She understood the rules. And how to bend them.
And sometimes, it was simply about being there.
In the end, not much mattered anymore. Just that she was okay.
