On warm days, a little cooling treat can be welcome for dogs too. This simple summer ice made from melon, banana and soy yogurt is quickly blended and prepared in the freezer.
It’s not meant to replace a meal, but rather an occasional refreshment – especially nice after an active day at the beach.

Ingredients (for 5 small cups)
- about 2 dl melon cubes
- ½ ripe banana
- 2-3 tbsp plain soy yogurt (unsweetened)
Instructions
- If the melon is very juicy, let the cubes drain in a sieve for about 10 minutes.
- Blend melon, banana and soy yogurt until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into 5 small cups or espresso cups.
- Freeze for 2.5–3 hours.
To serve
- Place the bottom of the cup briefly in warm water.
- Carefully turn the ice onto a plate or into a bowl.
- Let it thaw for a few minutes before serving.

Note
- A dog weighing 25–30 kg should not eat more than one cup as a snack.
- Stored airtight in the freezer, it keeps for about 2–4 weeks.
